UN Global Compact & SDGs
SEKEM has been a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact since 2003, committing to align operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles across Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.
Human Rights
Principles 1-2. Respect and protect internationally proclaimed human rights across our operations and supply chain.
Labour
Principles 3-6. Freedom of association, elimination of forced and child labour, and equal opportunity for all workers.
Environment
Principles 7-9. Precautionary approach, environmental responsibility, and diffusion of eco-friendly technologies.
Anti-Corruption
Principle 10. Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
Aligned with the 17 SDGs
Our 16 SEKEM Vision Goals for Egypt 2057 are directly mapped to the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Each of our pillars - Cultural, Ecological, Economic, Societal - represents measurable contributions to this global agenda.
