Heliopolis University (HU) leads research in biological pest control, reducing reliance on chemical pesticides and promoting natural ecosystem balance.
Strategic Partnerships

Financial Incentives

Total compost usage on SEKEM farms
Compost used at SEKEM farms slightly decreased compared to the previous year — driven by reduced application rates on previously reclaimed land at the Wahat farm where soil fertility has improved over time, and by increased cultivation of leguminous crops (beans, alfalfa/clover) whose natural nitrogen fixation reduces supplemental compost need.
